DC Trade Solicitations for March 2026 - Immortal Legend Batman, Justice League Red, DC Finest: Batman: A Death in the Family, DC Pride: The Heart Wants, Suicide Squad by Ostrander Omnibus Vol. 2, Batman: Urban Legends Omnibus Vol. 1

Based on the DC Comics March 2026 trade paperback and hardcover solicitations, May 2026 currently has no true DC “regular series” title collections coming out at all, with the miniseries Justice League Red and the special DC Pride: The Heart Wants as the closest things to in-continuity books coming out.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that changed. These March solicitations do look rather sparse, with just one collection of a DC All In-era regular series (and a cancelled one at that), Batman: Brave and the Bold, added to the books coming out in April. This strikes me as a “stuck in the middle” scenario; the March solicitations add a book to a full enough April 2026, and then I wouldn’t be surprised if next month’s April solicitations fill in May 2026 a bit more.

Or maybe May will just be a thin month?

Among non-continuity series, Dan Jurgens and Mike Perkins' The Bat-Man: Second Knight will also be a buy for me; I haven’t actually read the first volume yet, but I’ve heard good things. I’ll get Immortal Legend Batman too, though maybe not right away, simply out of interest in catching up on DC’s new batch of Elseworlds one of these days.

Others that are notable: Nightwing: A Knight in Blüdhaven Compendium Three collects Devin Grayson stories that have never been collected before; controversial or not, that’s a lost piece of history now re-available in trade form. The John Ostrander Suicide Squad Omnibus Vol. 2 also has various related issues you won’t find anywhere else. I think the Batman: Urban Legends Omnibus is a great idea; all of these stories were not winners, but an omnibus of anthology stories — pick it up, read one, put it down, come back to it later — probably uses the omnibus format better than most. And no idea why DC is reprinting Lilah Sturges and Bill Willingham’s JLA: Salvation Run, but, y’know, welcome to the weird time that was Countdown to Final Crisis, if you weren’t there the first time!

Let’s take a look at the full list.

Absolute Green Lantern: Rebirth (2026 Edition) HC

New printing of Geoff Johns' six-issue miniseries plus a story from the Green Lantern Secret Files and Origins 2005. I reviewed Green Lantern: Rebirth in 2006.

The Bat-Man: Second Knight HC

Sequel to the noir Bat-Man: First Knight by Dan Jurgens and Mike Perkins, in hardcover in May.

Batman in the Seventies (2026 Edition) TP

No contents confirmed, but previous versions included Batman #232, #237, #260; Batman Family #1; DC Super-Stars #17; and Detective Comics #407, #410, #442, #457, and #481, with such familiar stories as “Daughter of the Demon” and “There Is No Hope in Crime Alley.”

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Tomorrow’s Heroes TP

In paperback at the end of April and said to collect issues #14 and #16–20, though given that issue #15 contains parts of stories continued into #16, I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be included. These are the final issues of the series. There are still some Brave and the Bold stories never collected, namely Ed Brisson’s “Stormwatch: Down With the Kings” that tied into Knight Terrors, and I’m not sure if there’s more after that; maybe DC will see fit to get any stragglers in one more volume.

Batman: Urban Legends Omnibus Vol. 1 HC

I can’t argue that DC’s omnibus game is strong these days. Clearly omnibuses are selling, and in contrast to the writer’s run-centric volumes and the event-centric volumes, this is another good idea – take everything from an anthology series and put it in one big book, and then you’ve got a volume that probably feels pretty full for the cost. The solicitation says this contains Urban Legends #12, though I’m sure that’s inexact since issue #12 contains parts of stories that continue into the next. I’m guessing this collects some form of the trades Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, with the other three trades in the next volume.

DC Finest: Batman: A Death in the Family TP

Collects Batman #423–429, Batman Annual #12, Batman: The Cult #1–4, Detective Comics #590–595, and Detective Comics Annual #1. That picks up from the DC Finest: Batman: The Killing Joke and Other Stories volume, being indeed the “Death in the Family” sequence plus an Invasion! tie-in in Detective. These issues are found in Batman: The Caped Crusader Vol. 1 and Batman: The Dark Knight Detective Vol. 2, marking again how this particular DC Finest series is the interspersed version of those two separate collections series.

DC Finest: The Joker: The Last Ha Ha TP

Collects Joker’s major Bronze Age appearances, a return to darker fare, from Batman #251, #260, #286, #291–294, and #321; Detective Comics #475–476, #504; Justice League of America #77; backups from Wonder Woman #280–283; Brave and the Bold #111, #118, #129–130, and #141, and Joker #1–10 (1975).

DC Finest: Wonder Woman: Dawn Before Darkness TP

Following DC Finest: Wonder Woman: Origins & Omens, collecting the beginning of Gail Simone’s Wonder Woman run, this is Wonder Woman #36–44 and #600, Secret Six #10–14, Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #1–3, and DCU Halloween Special '09 #1. That is at least the Wonder Woman: Warkiller and Wonder Woman: Contagion collections.

DC Pride: The Heart Wants HC

Collects the 2025 special in hardcover in May, the first time the DC Pride special anthology has told one related tale across its various stories. Also included is Jenny Blake’s autobiographical story from the special and a letters column.

DC Super Hero Girls: High School Reunion TP

By Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat, this celebrates the 10th anniversary of DC Super Hero Girls with a high school reunion for the grown-up versions of the characters (plus a mystery to solve!). A great concept for this title.

The Demon by Jack Kirby: Absolute Edition HC

Collects all 16 issues of Jack Kirby’s original Demon series from the 1970s, plus "nearly 200 pages" of pencils and inks, essays, a foreword by foreword by Stephen Bissette, and more.

Green Arrow by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino: The Deluxe Edition (2026 Edition) HC

Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino’s arrival on the New 52 Green Arrow was a breath of fresh air for a title swiftly going wrong. This is a new edition of the book collecting their full run: Green Arrow #17–34 and #23.1, Secret Origins #4, and Futures End: Green Arrow #1. I reviewed these in trade form as Green Arrow Vol. 4: The Kill Machine, Green Arrow Vol. 5: The Outsiders War, and Green Arrow Vol. 6: Broken.

Green Arrow: Year One: DC Compact Comics Edition TP

Compact Comics edition of the six-issue miniseries by Andy Diggle and Jock. Guest reviewer Jonathan Atkins took a look at Green Arrow: Year One in 2008.

Immortal Legend Batman HC

Collects the six-issue tokusatsu-inspired Elseworlds miniseries by Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, Erica D’Urso, and Dan Mora, in hardcover in May.

JLA Book Three TP

Said to include DC One Million #1–4, JLA #1,000,000 and #24–26, Green Lantern #1,000,000, Starman #1,000,000, Detective Comics #1,000,000, Adventures of Superman #1,000,000, Martian Manhunter #1,000,000, Resurrection Man #1,000,000, Superman: Man of Tomorrow #1,000,000, JLA in Crisis Secret Files & Origins #1, JLA/Titans #1–3, and stories from DC One Million: 80-Page Giant #1. That’s more DC One Million-focused than when this was solicited previously, which only had JLA #1,000,000 among the tie-in issues and collected JLA from #24 to #31.

Also absent now is Justice League/Hitman #1–2, but I’m still happy as long as Devin Grayson and Phil Jimenez' exemplary JLA/Titans is included. ("You? You’re Young Justice. Your time will come.")

JLA: A League of One Deluxe Edition HC

Collects the Wonder Woman-centric Elseworlds graphic novel JLA: A League of One and the miniseries JLA Classified: Cold Steel, painted by Christopher Moeller.

JLA: Salvation Run (2026 Edition) TP

Not sure we knew about this one; I wonder if reprinting it is simply due to the continuing popularity of writers Lilah Sturges and Bill Willingham or if one of the villains here appears in the new Supergirl movie or something. I’ve heard a lot of criticism but I liked this book at the time, that weird Countdown to Final Crisis era; I reviewed JLA: Salvation Run in 2009.

Justice League Red TP

In paperback in May, collecting the six-issue miniseries by Saladin Ahmed and Clayton Henry. I’m interested to see characters like Red Canary and Green Lantern Simon Baz here, plus maybe a more traditional take on Power Girl. I hear there’s a tie to DC KO, too.

Nightwing: A Knight in Blüdhaven Compendium Three TP

Collects Batman #600 and #605; Nightwing #60–82; Flash Plus Nightwing #1; Birds of Prey #37; Batman: Gotham Knights #14, #16–17, and #20–21; Nightwing: The Target #1; Batman: The 10-Cent Adventure #1; a story from Joker: Last Laugh Secret Files and Origins #1; Joker: Last Laugh #1–6; and Nightwing: Our Worlds at War #1 – so, stories dipping in and out of the Batman: Murderer/Fugitive and Joker: Last Laugh events.

Chuck Dixon’s original run went to Nightwing #70; this will be the first time Devin Grayson’s issues #71–82 have been collected.

Suicide Squad by John Ostrander Omnibus Vol. 2 HC

"Collected in reading order" — you love to hear it. This collects Deadshot #1–4, Suicide Squad #19–39, Suicide Squad Annual #1, Manhunter #6–7 and #14, Firestorm #82 and #86–87, Justice League of America #27, Checkmate #15–18, Captain Atom #30, and stories from Secret Origins #37, The Flash #12, and Invasion! #1–3 — some of which is the "Janus Directive" crossover, but there’s tertiary issues on top of that, too. John Ostrander writes an introduction and commentary.

Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Compendium One TP

Collects Teen Titans #1–28 and 1/2; Beast Boy #1–4; Outsiders #24–25; Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1; Teen Titans/Outsiders Secret Files 2003 #1; Teen Titans/Legion Special #1; Supergirl #2 (Titans appearance); Teen Titans/Outsiders Secret Files 2005 #1; DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #1–4; and a story from the Legends of the DC Universe 80-Page Giant #2.

This is more or less Teen Titans: A Kid’s Game, Teen Titans: Family Lost, Teen Titans: Beast Boys and Girls, Teen Titans: The Future Is Now, and the Teen Titans/Outsiders: The Insiders crossover.

Teen Titans: The Bronze Age Omnibus (2026 Edition) HC

New printing, collecting Teen Titans #25–53, Brave and the Bold #94, #102 and #149, and Batman Family #6, #8–9.

Zatanna by Paul Dini Omnibus HC

Said to collect Detective Comics #824, #833–834, and #843–844; the graphic novels Zatanna: Everyday Magic and Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell; stories from DC Infinite Halloween Special #1 and Secrets of Sinister House #1; and Dini’s Zatanna #1–16.
